In this session, participants will learn how feminist mentoring builds individual and collective power, strengthens movements, and reframes ‘who leads’. Following an overview of the gender leadership gap, and how feminist mentoring as a tool can be used to bridge it, foundational mentoring skills will be shared, and participants will practice these skills in peer-mentoring spaces. Here they will get the experience of being mentors and receiving mentorship in small groups. We expect to spend 30 minutes interactively presenting mentorship as a tool to bridge the gender leadership gap, 45 minutes facilitating experiential learning through peer-mentoring groups, and 15 minutes collectively harvesting learnings and debriefing the session together.
