“Uganda has a great number of youth. Most have not attained quality education. Some didn’t even have a chance to go to school,” says Nsimire Aston, a digital creator, social entrepreneur and founder of IHFVA.

“We want to help people to thrive socially and economically in our communities,” Nsimire explains. ‘I believe development in Africa must come from within us. Providing quality education and skills to children and youth is the pathway to a positive future generation.”

Social entrepreneurs are known for finding solutions for society’s problems. What is the problem that you are addressing and what is your solution?

We wish to reduce unemployment through job creation. We teach entrepreneurship and skills training.

IHFVA offers training in entrepreneurial skills, to help young people and women to engage in business, as well as language training and education and awareness in youth and women’s rights. Working in communities IHFVA also strengthens cooperation linkages with local authorities in Uganda. In this way, other gaps in our communities can be mitigated in areas like financial inclusion, peace building, leadership and livelihoods.
